A Lunar New Year Celebration on Madison Avenue

"Madison Street to Madison Avenue," a very special Lunar New Year event co-sponsored by the East Midtown Partnership, Chinatown Partnership, Madison Avenue Business Improvement District, and Confucius Institute for Business at the State University of New York (SUNY).

** 11:00 AM, Madison Avenue at East 76th Street: We'll welcome Lion Dancers and a Dragon, and witness the historic signing ceremony celebrating the partnership of the Madison Avenue BID with the Bund Association for Promotion of Commerce & Trade, Shanghai, China. Among the confirmed attendees is Emmy-winning TV personality and entrepreneur, Yue-Sai Kan.

** 11:15 AM–1:00 PM, Madison Avenue from East 76th Street to East 54th Street: Enjoy the artistry of our Lion Dancers and Dragon as they perform, while participating retailers including Baccarat, Bally, CH Carolina Herrera, Chopard, Coach, Dennis Basso, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Michael Kors, Mulberry, NARS host special in-store Lunar New Year programming

** 12:00–3:00 PM, the Harman store and 527 Madison Avenue (at East 54th Street): We will host a variety of indoor and outdoor Lunar New Year-themed family entertainment and musical performances. The public can take part in:
* calligraphy demonstrations
* face-painting
* a themed photo booth
* and experience performances by the New York Eastern Chamber Orchestra conducted by Dr. Fei Fang and traditional Chinese face-changing by Peng Li.

Madison Street to Madison Avenue is co-produced through a unique collaboration between the East Midtown Partnership, Confucius Institute for Business at the SUNY Global Center, Madison Avenue Business Improvement District, and Chinatown Partnership. It is presented with the generous support of Harman, Harper's BAZAAR China, and Vornado Realty Trust.
